Three questions for any fence quote.
The cheapest quote that skips frost depth is the most expensive fence you’ll ever buy. Ask everyone these, us included.

- How deep do the posts go?
- Our answer: Below the frost line, about 4 feet around Peterborough and deeper in wet ground, with concrete around every structural post.
- What exactly is included, in writing?
- Our answer: Material and labour per foot, gates and extras, on paper after a free on-site visit, before anyone picks up a shovel.
- Who checks the bylaws and the utilities?
- Our answer: We check the fence height and pool enclosure rules for your address at the estimate, and underground utilities are located before any digging.

Which fence will actually hold your dog?
The best dog fence is one your dog can't dig under, climb over or chew through. On most Kawartha properties that means chain link with a buried edge or a properly built wood privacy run, sized bigger than most people expect and fitted with chew-proof hardware.
